Eligibility

Admission to the Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) course at the Alliance School of Business, Alliance University is strictly based on merit.
Eligibility
Pre-University/Higher Secondary/10+2 Examinations or equivalent from any recognized Board or Council in any discipline
Selection Process
Candidates are required to appear for the Admission Selection Process comprised of:
  • Alliance Aptitude Test (AAT)
  • Personal Interview
The School also uses other parameters such as scholastic and extracurricular record for admission. The final selection of the candidate will be based on the overall performance in the Admission Selection Process.

Note: Students enrolled in the Cambridge IGCSE/International Baccalaureate (IB) programs are encouraged to apply for Rounds 3 and 4 on the basis of predicted scores.
 
Round 1: Priority Application - February 20, 2014.
  1. The Priority Application Round enables applicants to apply early for the three-year, full-time Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) course offered by the Alliance School of Business.
  2. Such applicants will receive a call letter from the Office of Admissions to attend the Admission Selection Process earlier than in the regular admission cycle.
Round 2: Early Application - April 26, 2014.
  1. This being the early round of applications, seat availability is higher as compared to that in the other application rounds.
  2. The Early Application Round enables applicants to apply for the three-year, full-time Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) course offered by the Alliance School of Business on the basis of a high score obtained in Alliance Aptitude Test (AAT), exceptionally.
  3. Such applicants are also provided with an early opportunity to select from among the preferred options of student accommodation.
Round 3: Regular Application - May 12, 2014.
  1. Applicants to the Regular Application Round are encouraged to apply for the three-year, full-time Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) course offered by the Alliance School of Business on the basis of results declared in the 10+2 or equivalent examination as well as a high score obtained in the Alliance Aptitude Test (AAT).
  2. Such applicants will also have an opportunity to apply for student accommodation as subject to availability.
Round 4: Final Application - June 30, 2014.
Applicants to the Final Application Round are encouraged to apply for the three-year, full-time Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) course offered by the Alliance School of Business on the basis of a consistent scholastic record as well as a high score obtained in UGAT/SAT/AAT.

The Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) course at Alliance School of Business, Alliance University commences on Thursday, July 24, 2014.

  • The Application Form and Prospectus for the Bachelor of Business Management can be obtained from the Office of Admissions on payment of Rs.1,000/- (Rs.2,000/- for NRI and SAARC national applicants and US$50 for other foreign national applicants) in cash or through demand draft drawn in favour of "ALLIANCE UNIVERSITY" payable at Bangalore.

SCHOLARSHIPS for 2014
Scholarships are available to support full-time study at Alliance University for resident Indian nationals only. Each year Alliance University awards several scholarships in the form of fee remission to outstanding candidates. These scholarships of positive inclusive effort vary in value and have different criteria on which they are awarded.

The following scholarships are available to eligible students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Management course at Alliance School of Business, Alliance University.

Terms and Conditions
  • Scholarship awarded will be adjusted towards the fee payable for the respective course
  • Scholarship will be continued to subsequent years, subject to the student maintaining academic record of a CGPA above 2.5 in the course
  • Student should not have indulged in any activity which attracts disciplinary action
  • Performance only in qualifying entry level examination held in the previous academic year before admission will be considered
  • An applicant is allowed to apply for scholarship only under one category/discipline
  • In case of sports quota, the candidate should have participated and won in the National or International level sports/games conducted by the competent authority approved by the government (state/central). Continuation of the scholarship in subsequent years is subject to satisfactory contribution to the sporting activities of the University
  • Decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final and binding
Definitions:
  1. Domicile: The student should have studied and passed in one or more Government or Government recognized educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th standard as on 1st July of the year in which the candidate is seeking admissions to and must have appeared and passed either SSLC/10th standard or 2nd PUC/12th standard examination from Karnataka State. In case of the candidate who had taken more than one year to pass a class or standard, the years of academic study is counted as one year only.
  2. National Level player: The student must have represented his/her state in any competition held between the previous two calendar years at national level, in Individual Event/Team Event/s approved by Ministry of Sports/Sports Federations. The student must have also obtained a certificate from Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports/National Federation/Board of concerned game/s.
  3. Differently Abled: As per the provisions of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995, seven categories of disabilities have been identified viz., blindness, low vision, leprosy cured, hearing impairment, loco motor disability, mental retardation and mental illness. A student with 40% disability of the said categories will be considered for scholarship.
Eligible students of the BBM course may submit the Application Form for Scholarship in the prescribed format with original testimonials/documents/transcripts/marks cards etc.

Students are required to abide by the following terms and conditions upon admission to the courses offered by Alliance University.
  1. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained in this website and it is issued on the express condition that all matters in it are subject to change from time to time without notice. While the Alliance University will make all reasonable endeavors to deliver the courses of study and other educational services as set out in this website, circumstances may change prompting the Alliance University to reserve the right to vary the content and delivery of courses and programs, to either discontinue or combine courses and programs or to discontinue educational services.
  2. The subject titles, descriptions and contents are subject to change based on the University guidelines.
  3. The fee schedule for the courses offered by the Alliance School of Business can be downloaded by visiting the 'Fees and Financial Aid' tab. Fees payable for the courses offered by the Alliance University are subject to review periodically. Ensuring that fees are paid before the announced due dates is the sole responsibility of the student. Non-payment of the prescribed fees within the due dates will result in the cancellation of the registration to the course or to the subsequent semester/year.
  4. Students will also be liable for any travel and accommodation costs incurred for placement. For certain courses, students may incur additional specific charges for such items or activities as sports and games fees, specialized material or field trips. The Alliance University reserves the right to make additional charges to students for such activities.
  5. The Alliance University may withdraw or amend its offer of admission, or terminate the registration, if it is found that either a false or a misleading statement has been made or that significant information has either been omitted or withheld in a candidate's application form.
  6. The Alliance University does not accept responsibility and expressly excludes all liability that may result from any loss, damage or injury caused to a student or to the student's property.
  7. Students enrolled in the courses offered by the Alliance University are required to sign an undertaking at the time of the commencement of the academic year consenting to abide by the rules, regulations and the code of conduct of Alliance University.
  8. Scholarships are available to support full-time study at Alliance University for resident Indian nationals only.   9. Policy regarding refund of course fee.
    • The course fee has two components: Registration Fee and Tuition Fee.
    • The Registration Fee will not be refunded by Alliance University under any circumstances. The primary objective of this stipulation is to discourage frivolous applications.
    • The refund of Tuition Fee paid will be considered subject to the following criteria:
      • If a candidate withdraws from the course prior to its commencement, 75 percent of the tuition fee will be refunded.
      • If a candidate withdraws from the course within one week after the commencement of the course, 60 percent of the tuition fee will be refunded.
      • If a candidate withdraws from the course any time after one week from the date of commencement of the course, no refund of tuition fee will be made.
    • Additional provisions:

      Cancellation of admission is due to concealment or falsification of facts, submission of false or fake certificates, providing misleading information by the student or, alternatively, an error or mistake on the part of the student Nil
      If a student is provisionally admitted to a course, and becomes ineligible for admission on the declaration of the result of the qualifying examination and the student’s admission is cancelled The amount already deposited by the student, after the deduction of processing fee of INR 1,000/- and the tuition fee is refunded on a pro rata basis

    • If a provisionally admitted student desires to withdraw/cancel the admission from the course before the commencement of classes, he/she must submit the duly-signed cancellation application form to the Office of Admissions before the commencement of the course along with the letter of offer of provisional admission and original fee receipts
    • The student who wishes to withdraw from the course after the commencement of the classes, is required to submit a written application to the Office of the Registrar along with the letter of offer of provisional admission, original fee receipts and ID card (if issued)
    • Any communication regarding cancellation/withdrawal of admissions sent through an e-mail or any other mode will not be considered for the processing of refund of fees paid
    • The University will not be liable for the postal or courier delay in the cancellation/withdrawal documents reaching the Office of Admissions. The date on with the courier or post is received, will be considered by the University for processing of the refund of fees paid
    • All refunds made will be in Indian currency only and in the form of an account payee cheque in favour of the student
    • Request for refund of fees paid will be processed only after receiving all the required documents in original
  10. Disputes of any kind are subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts in Bangalore only.
