Defence Services Program

Alliance School of Business, Alliance University, in cooperation with the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defense, Government of India, has designed a unique program to impart specific skills to personnel of the armed forces to help them make a smooth transition to civilian roles. The armed forces train people to be highly disciplined, respect time, plan realistically and execute with precision. While these are valuable factors for civilian roles as well, a few more skills are required to fine tune personalities to meld seamlessly either into the corporate world or into an entrepreneurial role. The objective is to identify the skills that are required in specific cases and to impart them in a manner that would render them amenable to rapid application.

The Defense Services Program (DSP) is to be viewed in the larger context of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or in our case, Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR). Beyond providing education to young people, we believe it is our responsibility to facilitate the development of a sustainable society. This requires us to develop and deliver courses and programs that address the specific needs of different sections of society. Alliance University strongly believes in Institutional Social Responsibility and the Defense Services Program is our humble contribution to the development of a better India.

The department of Defense Services Programs is glad to announce the allocation of eight sponsored courses to the University by the Directorate General of Resettlement, Ministry of Defense, for the academic year 2015-16.
